Washington Metro Transit Military Hiring Event – Washington Metro Transit is in the planning stages of having a direct hiring event for military service members and dependents at locations in Washington, Maryland and Virginia. America Works has agreed to partner with WMATA and host the first event at its DC location. Metro is seeking military candidates to fill 24 vacancies per month for the Bus Maintenance Garage Mechanic and Garage Fleet Servicer position. ASE certification requirement has been waived for military applicants. Interested candidates must send their resume to military@wmata. The subject line should read (Mechanic). Qualified candidates will receive an email invite to attend the hiring event.
