You would be part of this expanding team responsible for determining the impact of government legislation, contracts, regulations, and litigation on industry, companies and financial markets. We are looking for candidates to join our Washington, DC or New York based research teams. Responsibilities include: - Identify, prioritize, research, and track key legislation and regulation for the Renewable Energy industry, particularly for issues relating to renewable energy and LNG. - Help build and maintain legislative and regulatory watch lists. - Facilitate research and analysis between all relevant Bloomberg analysts, including those at Bloomberg Industries, Bloomberg Government and Bloomberg BNA. - Author and co-author research on cross-industry and industry-specific legislation/regulation for use in the BI function and other functions on the Bloomberg terminal. - Engage in primary research, including regular dialogue with Congressional and agency staffers, companies and associations, and related participants. - Write research on a regular basis and communicate it to relevant Bloomberg terminal clients via phone calls, in-person meetings, and online chat. - Identify, support and maintain critical policy-related data and functionality on the Bloomberg terminal. Qualifications - 4+ years of progressively responsible experience in federal government policy analysis, specializing in the Renewable Energy sector. - General knowledge of the Financial Services industry. - Exceptional primary research and writing skills. - Experience interpreting financial statements and performing quantitative financial analysis. - Knowledge of advanced concepts, practices, and procedures of finance and accounting. - Self-starter, independent thinker and collaborative team player. - Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Political Science or a related field, or equivalent experience. - CFA certification or MBA degree preferred. - Must be willing to travel to regional offices as needed. - Knowledge of the Bloomberg Terminal a plus The Company Bloomberg, the global business and financial information and news leader, gives influential decision makers a critical edge by connecting them to a dynamic network of information, people and ideas.
