Washington State black beach jade… Familiar anyone? Love it. Thaks Vic Showell A Washington state black beach jade boulder, I guess between 1.5 and 2 tons. This is not uncommon to see large black nephrite boulders on the north coast beaches, and each area has its own genre of black nephrite. You can travel a few hunderd yards sometimes, and the grade and variety can change dramatically, in all areas that the black nephrite occurs, or simply disappear and reappear well down the beach quite a ways. Often these big ones show much more variegation with albite, but this one is fairly black and solid all over. This isnt high grade Wyoming black, but it can be very nice workable and clean material, presenting itself in a variety of grades. When you see a big one like this, start looking for smaller ones nearby! i.imgur/mriJFp7.jpg
