Wasnt it fantastic to see so many young first-time voters between the ages of 16/17 voting in the Scottish Referendum. Teenagers aged 16/17 should be entitled to vote in Ireland and not just in referenda but in all elections. Extending full democratic rights to 16/17 year olds is a good thing. The constitutional Convention recommended this over 12 months ago and the Government promised to hold the referendum within its lifetime. Let them have their say.
