Wasted Time by Marcus W. McKean Quietly I sit, blankly staring, into an hour glass of time, a dead watch on my wrist, it will not wind, searching for hope, though theres nothing to find. I sob, I cry, I want to scream, to breathe, the air is a lie. A minute is all I need, a moment alive, is it too late, did I already die? Is there nothing left, did I deprive, myself the opportunity, a chance to survive. What the hell happened, where did it go, everything moves so fast, when it once was so slow. Not fully grasping, to my utter dismay, regardless if I let it go, it will all slip away, there may be no tomorrow, so that only leaves today, and when the end comes, I do not wish to pray, that for the sin of silence, I will not spend an eternity to repay. ~Manic Marcus Summer 2014 marcusmckean.wordpress
