Wat Chedi Luang is one of the most prominent Buddhist temples in Chiang Mai. Once Chiang Mais largest structure, a pagoda (Chedi), was what gave the name to this temple. The grounds of this temple are also home to a shrine called City Pillar that is supposed to be protecting the city of Chiang Mai.
