Watch and Act Issued For: Stawell, Black Range Fire Origin: BLACK RANGE 7KM SOUTH OF STAWELL Incident Name: STAWELL- BUNJILS CAVE ROAD Issued: 21/01/14 4:36 PM This is an upgraded Watch and Act message issue by Department of Environment and Primary Industries for Stawell, Black Range. The BLACK RANGE 7KM SOUTH OF STAWELL bushfire is currently active on the eastern edge of the fire in the area of Horwood Road west of Carlsens Road, and in the Brown Lane area. Unexpected conditions have caused the fire to cross containment lines. The fire is now expected to impact the area around Horwood Road west of Carlsens Road, and the area of Brown Lane any time in the next two hours. Dont wait, leaving now is the safest option - conditions may change and get worse very quickly. Emergency Services may not be able to help you. Travel to; - Recover Centre at Stawell - Grampians Community health 8 Patrick Street, Stawell. - The home of family or friends that is away from the warning area. The following roads are closed: Bullochy Mary Road Gunawarra Road Bunjils Cave Road between Pomonal Road/Ganawarra Road and Glue Pot Road Browns Lane Horwood Road west of Carlsens Road Monaghan Road west of Carlsens Road The next update is expected by 21/01/14 7:00 PM or as the situation changes.
