Watch the video to see how Evelyn aka Evie flinches when someone new tries to pick her up. Even though she flinched at Terry, you can see she is very very playful. Im not sure how she got the way she is but still, shes a very sweet baby. Watch and let me know what you think could be her issue? However, once she gets to know you and know you wont harm her (about 15 min) later, you can pick her up anyway you want. Whoever adopts her needs to know that she needs time to adjust bc she literally will shake uncontrollably when strangers approach her. I didnt record but next time I will. We had friends over for dinner yesterday and as soon as they walked in, she ran underneath the kitchen table and just shook and shook and shook. You can visibly see how scared she was. I coaxed into my lap and hugged her until she stopped shaking. I ended up putting her in my bedroom and checked on her several times and she was fine. Several of the kids spent the night and she was fine with them. Its just that initial reaction that scares her. I did figure out a way to pick her up without her flinching. Instead of on the side, you pick her up from the front. Maybe she doesnt like to be surprised but if she knows youre in front of her, then shes fine. Please help me to find her owners or forever home by Sharing, Liking, or commenting on her stories.
