Watch this video. The police purposefully escalated this situation by treating this man, who had not done anything wrong, like he was a criminal. According to the guy filming (you can hear him saying it in the background) the other guy had just gotten off the bus when the cops pounced on him and asked him for his bus ticket. The guy is just sitting there and the one dude has his hand on his the whole time. Let me put this to you straight, if you have done nothing wrong then you have every right to not answer any questions, show any i.d. and just walk away when the cops try to question you. That is what the law says. Period. However, the system is frequently blind to cops breaking the law and often turns its eyes away when they harass, brutalize and arrest us on trumped up charges. After all, we are to be kept in our place at all costs and liberty be damned.
