Watched 2012s remake of Total Recall, or as I like to think of it - TopicsExpress

Watched 2012s remake of Total Recall, or as I like to think of it a Underworld 5 with out the Vampires and Lycans. It would have been a passable sci-fi action flick if it was an original story, but as it had the weight of a Philip Kindred Dick novel, and a 1990 film to live up to it fell painfully short. I hate movie critics who poke holes in films simply because explanations of how this fictional world works, doubly so for sci-fi. However this film gives us an introduction that most of the world is uninhabited due to chemical warfare. If humanity is crammed into the United Federation of Britain (UFB) and the Colony (Australia) as the rest of the world to toxic to live in, what is keeping these places safe??? Very big domes? Force fields? A lot of very powerful air curtains? Weather controlling satellites? In the 2 hours this film takes it fails to slip in 30 seconds for expersition. I know this is not a remake of Soylent Green, but where is the food coming from? Its cute that the directors wife (Kate Beckinsale) again is a lethal unstoppable force, but all characters in this story are underdeveloped. https://youtube/watch?v=4SerZm7DheA
