Watched Castaway again tonight with Q&C. WHEW!, what a great movie. The part toward the end of the movie when Chuck, Tom Hanks character says, I knew..........somehow..........that I had to stay..........alive: ...................somehow..........I had to..........keep breathing, gets me every time; been there done that, like so many others. All too frequently, 5 & 1/2 years ago feels like yesterday, and I have to remind myself to keep breathing. Then something as innocuous as Q, C & I going on our mile walk before bed reminds me that ALL of life is worth living for: the good as well as the bad, the wonderful as well as the horrific, the grandiose as well as the insignificant. The sun WILL come up tomorrow, and even if its hidden behind clouds, I will get out of bed........I will breathe........and I will live. Not always smiling, but happy to be here, and optimistic that tomorrow holds the possibility of untold new happiness. At the very least, no less than what Ive been blessed with so far in my life .........and thats a pretty damn great place to be!
