Watched Dune for the first time. What.... the hell..... was that? :) I thought Wild at Heart was a weird David Lynch movie. That was nothing. The sand worms, outstanding creature design there. They really did make them look like they were a mile long.... until people were standing on them. I liked the story, though. Just didnt like the writing. I could tell the material was better than the film. Might check out those Dune mini-series they did for the Sci Fi channel. Because this movie was...... very...... odd. This Baron character and the performance of the actor playing him seriously sank the movie. Bad.... bad.... BAD acting! And him floating around like that..... come on, they had to know that looked bad on the day. Good thing Lynch took a left turn with his career and started making normal movies like Blue Velvet 2 years later. Hes not suited to epics. Ridley Scott should have made this movie instead.
