Watched Good Will Hunting last night (curses to both commercial - TopicsExpress

Watched Good Will Hunting last night (curses to both commercial channels for showing two Robin Williams moving on last night at same time - Birdcage and Aladdin, I was channel hopping solidly during that time trying to get the best of both movies, anyway, good thing Channel 9 followed through with a 2nd tribute movie). I dont know why I refused to watch Good Will Hunting before last night. I initially judged the movie by the title and to me, it looked boring. I should have known better with Robin Williams as it took his death to drive me to want to watch every movie he ever made even the ones I thought I didnt like, same goes with the Birdcage. Now more than everything I want to collect every one of his movies and watch it again. I also watched a tribute to Robin Williams last night on the Bio channel, and it answered one puzzling question for me. They were talking about the story behind Mork & Mindi (not where it came from, thats obvious, but the story behind the scenes as what was going on that the viewers didnt know). For the first couple years I LOVED Mork, but then they started doing silly things with the series that was beyond my sense of humour (at that time). It wasnt that I got bored with Mork, I still liked him and liked watching him, but the show itself was getting more ridiculous, and I blame the producers for that, not Robin Williams himself. And the Bio commemorative last night explained why the producers did what they did. Its sad that they have to come up with ideas to hold the attraction of the majority of the viewers in the States, but by doing so, they ruined it for those viewers (like myself) who loved the originality and... I guess innocence of the show and destroyed it (in my eyes) the way they did in the latter part of the series. Anyway, all this is just my opinions, others may choose to differ on this subject and probably enjoyed the entire series the way it was laid out. My favourite bit was always the end when Mork reviewed his lessons with his hierarchy, as they always seemed to have morals in them, but thats the kind of stories, series, movies (insert any other form of media here) that I like. Something that has a moral to teach us all. Those are the kind of stories Id like to write and aspire for.
