Watched Karthick Subbarajs Jigarthanda....... A Musical Gangster film......its a story about a ruthless deadly Gangster Assault Sethu who comes across an aspiring film maker, how his life takes a diff route...told in a very unconventional yet entertaining way in most parts.....Karthick Subbaraj aft his debut blockbuster Pizza, has given a neat brilliant film, an altogether diff treatment right from start to end, Kudos to him...... It really needs Guts to accept such kind of lead role, knowing that the Antagonist will easily outshine him.....hatsoff Sidharth......his performance was good, but in front of Sim HAs stunning performance it gets dissolved.....#Simhaa wah wat an artist....its one of a kind role, no one can give so much of life & justice to that role....A Raw Gangster,cold blooded murderer.....it just oozes out of him, awesome man....no words to express.....his Majestic Voice, fierce acting, body language, the style he exuberates, terrifric expressions....Verithanam...created a Benchmark for such role.....entire film revolves around him, carries off splendidly....crowds response to his every frame shows his real success.....hes gonna stay for long.....Assault Sethu, a Memorable Character..... Karna Karan awesome performance as always, brought laughter in almost all of his scenes, one scene where he wakes frm dream is a rotfl, his face expressions is enough :) lakshmi menon played her part well.....all support characters were superb...especially the gangster gang....Santosh Narayanans BGM is the biggest strength, without him the film is lifeless.....Camera by Gavemic U Ary is splendid, visuals r rocking...Dialogues r superb...Technically the film is a brilliant one......Vijay Sethupathis Cameo as flashback Young Sethu theriiiii....... A very detailed work by the director and has carved each and every frame brilliantly, but the length cud have been reduced, certain slow moments in the second half....starting till before climax was in one feel, then suddenly it goes into casual mode in the last 20 min reduces that Fierce Aggressive stand developed by Simhaa from the start....not much engaging,a let down :( Paandi Naatu Kodi song is a Visual treat, simhaas terrific dance...the Interval block is an Uber stylish one..... P.S: A Raw Gangster Film, wonderful Music,Stellar performances frm the leads.....has all the entertainment elements, a must watch for Simhaa, shud not be missed......will click with one segment of fans, general audience is doubtful....the Director being a Hardcore Thalaivar Fan, many enjoyable Thalaivar Moments r there :) :) like thillu Mullu in pizza, Thalapathy film Title card and Intro Scene here :) ....ill give 3.75/5(3.25+0.50 for Simhaa)
