Watched Shrek: The Musical last night on Netflix... Not bad for making the movie into a stage production. And i have to say, the method that they used to make Farquaad short, was quite clever. Seeing as i was in theater in high school, and still adore the theater arts, i dont just watch a play to enjoy it, i watch it for nostalgic purposes. I enjoy figuring out how they do what they do on stage. The man that played Farquaad, they had him walk on his knees with the bottom half of Farquaads body attached at the feet to the knees of the man. He was wearing a black suit under the outfits and always had a HUGE cape on to hide actual body of the man playing Farquaad. I thought it was a brilliant way to make a tall person look short. Only problem was when Farquaad was in the bath, the feet and legs didnt look believeable. That was the only downside to the fake legs. And i just adored the man who played Donkey. He would have made Eddie Murphy proud :3
