Watched the Dwayne Johnson Hercules... As a movie? 7/10 As understanding/appreciating mythology? 2/10 My review of the movie? Dwayne Johnson was in incredible shape for the role. Lots of human deviousness. Worth watching once. Mythologically? Poor. They were trying to match a graphic novel, not the original myths. Listening to the bonuses on the disk, they didnt want to have a mythological film, but one of human scheming and plotting. And youre doing Hercules, the more-than-human son of Zeus? Final thoughts? Dont pay for it, if you can watch it for free. Hollywood still has no real appreciation for classical literature.
