Watched the film..and how can i resist writing something on it on fb..i request the serious film critics and intellectuals who see subtitled films for either a living or for belonging to a particular herd of high thinking people, to please keep away as this one is filmographically illerate common mans post...I was never a fan of anjan duttas flicks..this one too reinforces my belief that the man lives in a realm that he is a good film maker..byomkesh is such a weakness of bengalis (like feluda and sourav ganguly and rabindranath tagore) that anything with byomkesh is sure to be a crowd puller. Beside the brightest side in this movie was definitely Abir Chatterjee..i liked Kaushik sen too. But errors in detailing really played the spoiled sport..and the accents in a period play..goodness gracious...most of the actors spoke like they are straight out of whatsapp and hike...often i consider these modern day feluda and byomkesh films to be glorified telefilms..this one is no exception..but still i would reiterate a bengali movie made with a petty loan defaulters money ( yes kaustuv ray, the producer of the movie, had another company named RP Infosystems limited, that used to sell computers under the brand name chirag, is a big time loan defaulter) is running successfully even with giants like PK is definitely a positive for bongs who need to look further now beyond the resonance of winning ipl and isl in the same year.
