Watching AP politics closely makes me wonder how recklessly political leadership and a part of so called intellectuals pushing both sides of towards mutual hatred and enmity. The jargon of "Andhra","Telanagna" and "Seema" are mere political words and have no significance historically and geographically.Some historians say "Andhra tribe" had its origins in present day Telangana and many of the kings who ruled present day Telangna identified themselves as "Andhra kings(Kakatiyas and Satavahanas).Word "Telangana" had hardly any mention in historical texts and where ever it was mentioned it was mentioned refering to the Telugu speaking people of Muslim kingdom. "Seema" is no specific geography related term but it is a name used to refer a province in Vijaya nagara empire just like present day Zilla or Mandal. The new definition of Andhra to represent only Coastal area and the new definition of Telangana to represent Ten districts of and seema to 4 districts is a complete fabrication and distortion of History.The historical reality is certain classes faced exploitation in both regions and they are still getting exploited.The fact is working class of Andhra and working class of Telangana or seema to that matter share same set of problems.The reality is there people who still face untouchability and caste discrimination in 3 regions.If you want to fight against exploitation and injustice then why not start with these for a start?
