Watching "American Gangster" and it makes me angry everytime he turns in that million dollars at the beginning. Because not only was turning it in dumb as hell, he opened that trunk with no warrant or anything so HE should have been arrested and the guy whose money it was should have gotten it back anyway!!!! Normally you can just say, oh well just a movie, but this is a true story! So there really was a million bucks in some guys trunk and he broke in and took it, and then turned it in as evidence! Nobody got arrested though, so they just kept his loot! I know someone who had a similar situation happen. He was going out to Colorado to buy a bunch of medical buds, got pulled over and searched and had nothing illegal, but they kept his money. Now he has to pay his lawyer a bunch of money to get his own money back. Good thing is he inherited it so he can prove where it came from! Still bullshit to have to go through for nothing though.......:-(
