Watching Back Some Of The Battles I Was At Lately (In The UK) And Im Looking At The Audience I Swear I Was In A Theatre Or Something. Fair Enough You Might Not Like What Your Seeing Or The Level Is Wack But When The DJ Is Playing Some Bangers And 99% Of The Audience Aint Banging There Heads At Least (Minimum Requirement) Then What Are You Doing There? Do You Not Like Dance? Do You Not Like Music? Why Are You At A Competition If Not For The Dance & Music? Why Am I One Of The Few People At Events Spitting The Lyrics To Some Classic Old School Hip Hop Tracks But Seeing 60+ People Entering The Hip Hop Category And No One Knows The Songs There Doing There Preselection Too? Most Of These Tracks Came Out In 90s When I Was A Kid Most Likely Living In Gambia In West Africa. But Yet I Still Know Them. RESEARCH YOUR CRAFT. Hip Hop Aint Just Some Random Shit. Im Not Sure Why My Generation Of Dancers, Dance Nowadays But Im Not Sure Its Because Of The Music. OUR PARENTS ERA WAS THE CLUB ERA! MUSIC MOVED THEM! OUR GENERATION IS THE COMPETITION ERA, COMPETITIONS MOVE US! FIX IT BEFORE THE NEXT GENERATION AFTER US IS LOST!!!!
