Watching Chetan Anands Kudrat took a toll on me. What starts as a mysterious plot changes over as a saga of dragged melodrama. After a while it appeared so much that i stopped watching the screen and just started listening to the dialogues. This is quite a landmark film but if you watch it in the present time its really hard to digest. The characterizations are so weak at certain points that they themselves are not clear on what they stand for. Such kind of dialogue-bazzi is long gone and it seems like a terrible experience to watch it during this era. What i have been liking about the film is the music score especially the haunting bit and the never fading melodies especially Humein Tumse Pyaar Kitna. BTW I had to hunt two years to get a DVD of this.
