Watching Mississippi runoff election. McDaniel, the Koch-funded Tea Partier pledged (literally) to do nothing for Mississipians (ie, will cut federal dollars, presumably except for corporate subsidies). What will they do? Red states (Mississippi #1 and Louisiana #3) burn our tax dollars but miss the economic growth through Medicare expansion, infrastructure spending, etc. WHY? Low personal and corporate tax rates. Voters lose.
