Watching T.V. last night and quite a number of programs were about - TopicsExpress

Watching T.V. last night and quite a number of programs were about the top 25 funniest comedy moments ever or the top 20 most newsworthy moments of 2015. Why do they put these shows on, and why are they so popular? (They obviously are, because theyve been on forever at this time of year.) It also always surprises me that Ive forgotten so much that has happened in the year - a ton of stuff gets packed in, yet forgotten. I read a while ago a book about Genesis 1, where God sits back and reflects on his days work. (He created sun, moon & start & saw that it was good etc.) The literal Hebrew expression for saw that it was good is (apparently) literally pressing meaning into the work he had completed. It seems there is a precedent, modelled by the creator, in sitting back & reviewing, what was good, what was bad, what can we learn. Even God is a learner, an observer, a thinker & a reflector...but not us! No, well just fly by the seat of pants & hope for better results. This year Im going to keep a regular review (perhaps every week or so) of the Evidences of Gods Grace - and then once a month Im going to produce a top 10 list of other evidences of Gods grace (or net-out if you will - Mens Discipleship guys will know what I mean by this.), and then perhaps in December take all my monthly reviews & do a top 10 for the year. This practice, I trust, will help me fulfil some resolution for 2015. To grow in wisdom, to grow in thankfulness. I believe it will have the added bonus of helping me grow in effectiveness as a husband, as a father and as a servant friend to several. ...but the funniest moment in T.V. comedy ever still remains undisputed, and if you have 2 minutes to check out Del Boy... https://youtube/watch?v=63rcdLeXiU8
