Watching Vijay awards. Really happy to see Shankar,-my favourite director and the man who took Indian cinema to the next level- being awarded the Chevaliar award. In my opinion, definitely the best film-maker in India currently. Shah Rukh Khan never fails to amaze with his personality and charm. As a TV viewer, I was totally floored. If I had the privilege to be on the same stage, I would have bear-hugged him. I thought he would never return after his sweat-bath at last years awards. But no, he returned again even more humble and more sporting this time. I am always more supportive of our Tamil actors but in this case, SRK is truly THE MAN. From how he dresses to his speech to his choice of words to his sporting nature to his class. His humility of referring to artistes 10-15 years younger than him as Sir, acknowledging even newbies like Sivakarthikeyan and Anirudh by name and actually saying that he will come anytime to hang out at the Vijay awards cos he is honoured to breathe the air of such amazing artistes around him. Wow. He took humility and charm to the next level. SRK is class personified and I wish I can be just 10% of the man he is. And I have to say this. The much younger, taller and and trendy son could have been beside him, but I could only notice Karthik. If I was a woman, its still Karthik over Gautham. Always a Navarasa Naayagan. And lastly, I think if anyone has a name like Anal Arasu, it should just be credited in Tamil alone. Especially when he is awarded for stunt direction. Stunt director- ANAL Arasu. Doesnt sound right. ;) Happy long weekend, guys!
