Watching my Batman blurays and noticing just how expensive the first half of the first season was. Looks like movie quality. I had always noticed that it was darker and meaner. Here is a question regarding High Definition. Is it fair to present programs in HD if the creators never intended it to be seen in such a manner. HD often uncovers things you were NOT supposed to see. Things that the artists did not bother with because the know it would not be visible. Did they intend for you to see a clear sharp image of Jokers mustache? Obviously not. I can remember watching it on 16mm on WDCA 20 in the early 70s and it certainly was not very apparent. In case you were not aware, though he refused to shave his mustache off completely, Cesar Romero did trim it quite a bit for Joker, depending on what else he was doing at the time. I think it is pretty apparent that they tried to hide it as best they could. During the third season he trimmed it the shortest and you can see that. I know this will anger some fans but I would rather they fog it out than enhance it. And I think Romero and William Dozer both would agree.
