Watching my little cousins read the Harry Potter series for the first time from the get go gives me a good idea of how everyone used to see characters and how their opinions changed slowly and gradually. >They hate Slytherin. They find them to be bad. Thats basically how everyone I knew growing up felt until one fine day it was too mainstream to not want to be Slytherin and they wanted to be Slytherin. At least admit yall didnt like Slytherin at the start. Be honest. Its not wrong, you grew up and changed your mind. > They hate Snape (boy are they in for a rude awakening). They love him as a character cause they find him interesting but they just hate his bullying nature. Which literally how everyone felt but now they lie about having liked him from the start. No you didnt. If you did youd have liked an unreasonable bully. You only could start developing any sense of sympathy for him around book 5 which you then lost when he killed Dumbledore and then regained after book 7. Its ok to admit it! Its what makes his character so brilliant. > I had to lecture them over hufflepuff but I realized I shouldnt have. I came to conclude that Hufflepuffs are cool in their own right on my own after book 4. I shouldnt have told them to look for cool Hufflepuffs. They shouldve found out themselves. > They love Ron. Ron is absolutely brilliant to them. Hes goofy, hes funny, hes brave when he needs to be, hes blunt and emotionally stupid and above all hes super loyal. They adore the shit out of him. Here I can accept it when people say they didnt like Ron from the get go. I can accept it. I find it hard to believe why anyone wouldnt like him but I can understand it. >They are dead sure Harry will save Malfoys life somewhere in the series as a parallel to James saving his rival. Im loving this deduction cause I made the same deduction back when I had started reading. >Dumbledore cannot die. He is god as far as these little tykes are concerned :p ~Padfoot
