Nowruz is a farming based celebration. Islam originates from non-farming background. A lunar calendar made sense to nomads who travelled long distances on pilgrim caravan and Frankincense trade routes. ditto the hierarchical Imam is all powerful Shia based mullah bureaucracy/Kingship ( surplus food farming hierarchy) and the distributed anti -theocratic Sunnis (nomadic power structure)
