Watching the US House of Representatives vote on Defense Appropriations. Every amendment which upsets the current status of BIG CONTRACT $$$$ DEFENSE goes down to defeat by a bi-partisan majority. A few REAL conservative Republicans and PROGRESSIVE Democrats vote Nay, but the money waste goes on and a huge majority of our congress will leap to defend any money wasted, anywhere, for anything, so long as you can slap a "Defense" label on it. Whether we like it or not, our Congress loves spending money on Defense....and so much for balanced budgets.
