Watching the documentaries on Jack Kennedy brings back memories. Jack Kennedy was the most articulate and sharpest President of my life time. His wit was masterful. People looked forward to his press conferences. They were informative and very entertaining. It was difficult watching him not to care about him or to feel that he had full command of his job. Even when things went wrong for him. The weekend of November 22, 1963 was indeed a sad one. I and everyone I knew were very sad. It was like a close relative died. Now I remember why such a strong reaction. I now again understand why 50 years later, we have still not gotten over the assassination of President Kennedy.
