Watching the unfolding drama is interesting indeed. I mentioned sometime back about Mwendas analysis and predictions, that he is being fed from the writer of the script. Fast forward to todays drama at Kololo. All along i thought that Amama was a civilian! I still have failed to get it why a chief of staff for the mighty UPDF came to change his guards from armed soldiers to police VIP personnel, then I remembered that might has to be displayed regarding who has the arms. This theatrical act was for the gullible sycophants to be intimidated into line that if you go with Amama you are lost see who has the power. But then if you have the power why fear and intimidate the dissenting views within your so called NRMO? Many a time some people have been castigated, demonized etc, now we are seeing the battle lines being drawn between two camps Amamas & Kags. Having followed the politics of the movement from the bush days to today I place these two people into two categories: 1) One is for constitutionalism & rule of law plus letting the institutions of state work. 2) The other is for manipulating the systems with monetary gifts and setting up parallel structures to hood wink the masses at all costs for personal grander.It is up to the masses to make a choice, but will they be allowed? I doubt very much. Otherwise if they were empowered may be, but are they? A lot of work needs to be done. I looked at the drama in parliament when KCCA technical staff appeared before PAC and lamented for this country. How does a fully fledged authority function without ledgers for three full years! And then they blame the elected mayor for the mess in Kampala. I keep saying that some people in this government have phobia for working systems. But this is deliberate otherwise where would the money to bribe voters come from if balances and checks were in place. When you take a close look at all the institutions with big budgets, either the books are crooked or the expenditures are classified.
