Watching this TV broadcast late one night in 1986 at my abode in Blackpool in Lancashire (at that time), was certainly an uplifting experience. Its so beautiful, the ambience of the moment, not only with the great Ralph McTell but the people - a harmonious bond of knowing...of understanding. A year later, thanks to Don and Phil Everly, I was in a position to experience that knowing and understanding - Mr. McTell was the brothers unannounced support act - and when he entered the stage I couldnt believe I was going to experience this moment...19 years old, tears streaming, singing like a little choir boy in unison with everyone around me, with everyone sharing, everyone knowing, everyone understanding...isnt this how the world should be...??? - Tony G.
