Watsonville Wetlands Watch Volunteer Restoration Days: August 24: 9 am until 12 noon North Pajaro Dunes Lagoon Iceplant Removal Join the restoration team this Saturday to remove iceplant and other non-native plants as a part of the effort to improve the habitat of the lagoon while learning about the plants, animals, and ecology of the Last Mile of Watsonville slough! Meet at the Pajaro Dunes North Gatehouse at 9:30 am or the Fitz Wetlands Educational Resource Center (on the top of the Pajaro Valley High school campus, 500 Harkins Slough Rd) at 9:00 am. We’ll work until noon and take a bird and native plant walk. All tools, supplies, and gloves will be provided. Please wear sturdy shoes and layered clothes. Bring Your Friends & family!
