Wattal places 3 officials under suspension JMC launches sanitation drive Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation Kiran Wattal started sanitation drive along with Health Officer, Municipal Veterinary Officer, Executive Engineers, Chief Enforcement Officer, Chief Transport Officer and other officers/officials of JMC today which was started from Panjtirthi and culminated at Parade ground, here. He also visited the interior area of Jammu city comprising of Dhounthly Bazar, Chowk Chabotra, Jain Bazar, Peer Mitha, Kanak Mandi, Purani Mandi and Sabzi Mandi. Enforcement wing lifted illegal rehries Encroaching upon foot paths causing obstacles to free flow of vehicular traffic as well as pedestrians on spot challans were also issued to the defaulters for encroaching the areas. During the drive different shopkeepers/milk vendors were checked by way of different methods who supply their milk to the citizens of city and instructions were issued to them to keep their premises neat and clean. Commissioner, JMC met with the people of these areas and listened to their problems. Directions were issued to all the officers of JMC to work around the clock to come to the expectations of the people especially due to upcoming festival of Deepawali. He directed to Executive Engineer to upgrade existing lanes and drains in the area so that problem of the people could be solved. He also issued strong instructions to the Health Officer to personally monitor the whole sanitation job of Jammu city, so that the problem faced by residents/shopkeepers are redressed and shopkeepers were strongly asked to deposit the user charges. Mr wattal placed under suspension Carnilious Gill, Sanitary Inspector and Anoop Sharma, I/C Sanitary Inspector for dereliction of duties and prevailing insanitary conditions in their respective wards. Dev Anand Gill, I/C Sanitary Supervisor attached with Sanitation Officer, JMC and Parmod Kumar, Food Safety Officer, JMC were also placed under suspension for dereliction of duties.
