Waverly Jackson says: God has watched over and preserved His words throughout human history, no matter in whose hands, personally, nationally, culturally or empirically they may have been at any time. His words are forever settled in heaven, and always available to mankind despite all the efforts of the enemy to destroy them! Many bible versions and translations have arisen, which often contradict each other, remove words and even entire verses of scripture. Thanks be to God, all who do Gods will shall know of the doctrine, whether it is of God or of man! Let us seek the wisdom which the Holy Ghost teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual! So-called text critics may choose to add to or take away from Gods words through their private interpretations, scholarly dissertations, and make the faith of God of none effect by teaching for doctrine the commandments and traditions of men. But God has preserved His words throughout all generations! The psalmist wrote these words: Psalm 12:6-7 (KJV) 6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. 7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. The Lord can, does, and ever will keep His pure words and preserve them! Faithful, God-fearing men will hold fast to His words, declare them without fear or compromise, and pass them down from generation to generation. The Antiochan/Masoretic stream has been used and is yet being used of the Lord to ensure that every generation has His preserved words; not the words of Hellenized philosophers and theologians who think they know more than God! Finally, His sheep know His voice, and follow Him; they flee from the voice of strangers, for they know not the voice of strangers! They hear His words, and by the grace and power of God which works mightily in them, discern the spirit of truth from the spirit of error! May the Comforter, the Spirit of truth, enlighten the eyes of each souls understanding, and guide each hungry and thirsty soul into all truth.
