Way back in 1997 while on board Israfil Huseynov offshore Baku Azerbaijan an incident happened when a QA/QC Inspector lost control of himself. He punched me in the face (we were inside the office) after we have raised our voices with each other over an issue. However, after about an hour , when things pacified he realized a mistake was done and asked for an apology. For the respect and fear of the Lord I did not retaliate but rather accepted the 3 blows thrown at my face. Surprisingly, he approached me later and being sorry he wrote a letter and told he wanted to pay me 3000 US dollars. It was a wonderful experience putting the teaching of the Bible into practice! Perhaps there is a message here- Hold on to your faith, God will take care! He has done His support to many people and He can do the same to you and me. For my personal lesson, I should avoid to be angry because it may hurt someones feelings, turn him to be violent and may raise ones high blood pressure too. St Paul in his writings reminds that correcting somebody should be done in a gentle manner. I share with you this wisdom. I wish that I will be able to control my temper also for Christ & peace sake if not to save me from heart attack due to hypertension.
