Hundreds of offers are being posted on twitter every minute by Australian citizens willing to travel with and protect Moslems wearing headscarves and other religious clothing, in case there are anti-Moslem attacks after the hostage siege in Sydney. Dividing a community by creating mutual distrust is the key way that terrorism wins. The #IllRideWithYou hashtag was begun by Tessa Kum, a TV content editor and writer who lives in Sydney. You can post which bus/train you will be on and arrange to meet up and ride with the person, or just arrange to walk to the shops with someone. Tessa was inspired by Rachel Jacobs, who tweeted that she saw a nervous Moslem woman remove her headscarf in front of her, as the news began to be displayed at a train station. Rachel told the woman Wait. Put it back on and I will walk with you. The woman started to cry, and hugged her for a minute but then walked on alone.
