Way to make Autism trendy, Jerry Seinfeld. You are reinforcing a false image of what typical Autism looks like. Yet again, the media dilutes Autism as a minor thing. When you have a 6 year old child who cant speak, has to be constantly supervised or she will get into everything, still isnt potty trained, tries to strip and smear feces everywhere because it is a sensory/tactile fulfillment, needs socks duct taped to her hands so she wont eat her fingers to oblivion, has random screaming fits, randomly pushes/hits her sisters with no provocation at all, bolts in public if you let go of her hand for even a second, chews on cords, breaks her sisters toys (almost all of Alexis/Hannahs toys are in their bedroom or basement), cant leave anything breakable/valuable on any counters or she will get them and destroy them... Folks: THIS is only a taste of what living with Autism is really like.
