Wayne H.S. Concert Band Presents: Transcendent Journeys: A Spring Concert The Wayne Central High School Concert Band and Jazz Band are presenting an evening of exceptional, free entertainment on May 14, 2014 at 7:00pm in the High School Performing Arts Center for their spring event, Transcendent Journeys: A Spring Concert. The High School Music Department has been remarkably successful this year with students achieving unprecedented levels of musical engagement. This year, Wayne music students have participated in elite musical ensembles all over Rochester including: Hochstein Youth Wind Symphony, Hochstein Youth Symphony Orchestra, Rochester Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, Roberts Wesleyan College Honors Band, Nazareth College Wind Ensemble and NYSSMA Conference All-State Band. This isn’t a group to miss. The Concert Band will be featuring the pieces Transcendent Journey by Rossana Galante and Pirates of the Carribean: At World’s End by Jay Bocook as well as pieces by P.D.Q. Bach and Brian Balmages. The Jazz Band will be featuring Willow Weep for Me by Ann Ronnel and The Chicken by James Ellis.
