Wayne Hall Coach Hall As we say goodbye to 2014 the Hurley Rebels - TopicsExpress

Wayne Hall Coach Hall As we say goodbye to 2014 the Hurley Rebels are also saying goodbye to a long time coach and friend, Wayne Hall. Wayne has officially hung up his whistle from coaching and also from teaching. Coach Halls last day was December 19th at the Hurley High School with a small celebration among students and faculty. Coach Hall has been part of many successful teams as a head coach and assistant coach. Wayne lead the Rebels to the playoffs as head coach in 1996, 2004 and 2005. In 1996 the Rebels were Region D runner-up under his leadership to a Julius Jones lead Powell Valley team. Wayne was an assistant on the 1986, 1991, 1992 and 2014 playoff teams. Wayne retires as the third winningest head coach in Hurley Rebel history. Waynes final year was this past season of 2014 after eight years away from football. Wayne coached this season with the same enthusiasm as he had in his first year of 1984. Wayne helped Coach Tester get the Rebels back to the playoffs by stressing fundamentals, believing in the play and not playing as an individual but playing as a TEAM. I have included pictures of the first and last team that Wayne coached in his career. The Hurley Rebel coaching staff and the hundreds of boys that you coached over the years would like to Thank You for your many years of service!!!!
