Wayne Rooney let his teammates and all his fans down big time and should be ashamed of himself, Yes! But he is human and like the rest of us, has moments where the emotions got the better of him. Ive seen captain Roy Keane make more cynical challenges and get red carded.. even captain Cantona was banned for 9 months after a kung fu kick on Matthew Simmons at Selhurst park, Rooney got frustrated after the Ref blatantly ignored Enner Valencias handball which happened right in his path of sight. Now ask your self..... What if that attack that led to Rooneys been sent off turns into Westhams second goal??? Yes, we never can tell coz its football. Rooney did what he had to do, i mean to stop the opponent, I agree he did it the wrong way(out of frustration) but some of the flack being ditch out to him by certain sections of our own fans are way over the top and asking the arm band to be strip off him on the basis of that incident is ridiculous and harsh. Rooney is our Captain and i for one will continue to support him.
