Waynesboro Football Program: I stopped by this evening and watched our upcoming Waynesboro, Varsity, Jr. Varsity practicing, now I know that we are not into football season yet, but dont tell Brennan that. I believe this man lives in the Football Zone! He lives and breathes football. He hardly watches TV unless he is playing game tapes back. This man is for real. I came to Waynesboro 28 years ago. When I was in high school, I played football and lettered in 4 other sports. I remember attending the games here in Waynesboro (not being judgmental just fact) when the coach would run the same play for 15 straight. The opposing team had their number before the ball was snapped. Since I have lived in Waynesboro, I have never seen the youth so keyed up as they are now with Coach Brennan. He is indeed the real deal. It is a cold March day and the tempts are in the low 40s with wind chill in the 30s and there must have been 45-50 kids show up for practice. I was overwhelmed with their spirit. You would think they were in a championship game as they shouted and chanted in the spirit of victory. We love Waynesboro, Indians all the way, growling out the Indian war cry. I get a deep feeling that Coach Brennan can do just about anything he says he can do. This man is not one of mediocrcy: he strives for perfection and the kids feed on his positive attitude. In spite of all that I have said, Coach Brennan is not without opposition. There are those that do not like his methods and ways of doing things. Come of people, lets get behind him and our boys. Show your appreciation by dropping him a line of FB. When you drive by and see them practicing there at the YMCA, blow your horn in respect. While I was therefor about 45 minutes, several other parents, grandparents and just plain fans came by and was so excited about our prospects this year and the years to come. Remember this, our football team reflects on or community and our community should stand in unity and support of our Indians! Goooo Coach Brennan and Waynesboro Indians. Feel the pride!
