Ways a Coach Fails His/her Team by Kevin Mosley 1. He/she allows his/her personal “success” to overshadow the team. 2. He/she loses sight of how success is measured. 3. He/she allows winning games, titles & championships to become more important than winning at life. 4. He/she fails to pray for his/her players. 5. He/she fails to model godliness & the joy of knowing Christ to his/her players. 6. He/she rarely tells his/her players how he/she is proud of them and the opportunity he/she has to be their coach. 7. He/she rarely shows interest in their personal lives or considers their emotional and/or spiritual needs. 8. He/she criticizes more than he/she praises. 9. He/she makes them so afraid to fail that they are paralyzed to even try much less to enjoy the game. 10. He/she worries more about building a team than building Christian young men/women.
