We’d like to take a moment to thank the community for writing us about your experiences with bottles of Barrel-Aged Muy Bonita. While many people did enjoy their bottles, it’s clear that a portion of the bottles we made exhibited spoilage characteristics. These traits (sulfurous aroma; excessive carbonation) appear to present themselves more readily in bottles that were stored warm instead of cold. One thing we always strive for is to be completely proud of the products we release. Unfortunately due to these issues, we’re not proud of the end result with Muy Bonita bottles. If you opened a bottle that experienced these traits, please email us about it before the end of the month. If you have unopened bottles that you stored warm and don’t want to keep, we’ll be offering full refunds in our tap room effective immediately and running through the end of October. When you come in, we’ll also buy you a pint for your troubles. We’re extremely sorry that this happened with our beer. We were super happy with the way it turned out before spoilage, which makes it hurt more to know that not everyone shared that same experience.
