We BLING the BLUE back Casual day Friday 5th of September 2014... We all paid our R10 in tribute of this day... WHAT IS CASUAL DAY ??? Casual Day is South Africa’s foremost fundraising campaign for persons with disabilities and is the flagship project of the National Council for Persons with Physical Disabilities in SA (NCPPDSA). FAVE FUN...SUPPORT EMPOWER !!! Creating an inclusive society Everyone loves Casual Day, the campaign that INVITES all fun-loving South Africans to dress differently for a day to raise funds and raise awareness of persons with disabilities. Casual Day is a highlight on the calendar of our 300 PARTICIPATING NGOs, business – big and small, organisations, schools, BOOK clubs, youth groups and South African citizens at large. For eighteen years we have reserved the first Friday in September for going to work on the dressed in outfits from the fun to the fantastical. This year it’s Friday 6 September 2013. To earn the right to dress up this way, participants make a donation of R10 for the official Casual Day sticker. Not only does Casual Day raise funds, it also raises awareness of OPPORTUNITIES for full inclusion of persons with disabilities into the community. WHY SHOULD WE PARTICIPATE ??? Be part of a group of thousands of South Africans who demonstrate that small actions can make a huge DIFFERENCE. We call it community spirit in action.
