We Can Make Africa Proud – Oboabona -Rizespor Star Predicts Brazil 2014 Heroics Rizespor of Turkey defender, Godfrey Oboabona is shooting his sight all the way towards Brazil 2014 World Cup, where he believes the Super Eagles have the capacity to pull off shocks and make Africa proud as one of the continent’s five banner bearers. Although there is still a play-off home-and-away round of matches for the Eagles to face before nicking a ticket to the Mundial in The Samba Nation, Oboabona believes Nigeria will scale the hurdle of whichever team they come against in the final stage of the qualifiers. Speaking in the wake of Saturday’s 2-0 win against Malawi at U.J. Esuene Stadium, Calabar, the former Sunshine Stars of Akure skipper said he is confident Nigeria will qualify for the World Cup and then go on to do very well at the competition. 'It is a thing of joy; we are happy. It is what we have been praying for – to beat Malawi and top our group and be on our way to qualifying for Brazil 2014 World Cup. We are getting there. 'We thank God that everything worked out well for us. It is not over yet. We still have some qualifiers to play. Our aim is to get to the world cup and make sure we do well and make Africa proud,' said the 23-year-old Oboabona, who has a goal to his name in 22 appearances for the Eagles.
