Started in 2003 by Vikki Walls (Festival Owner and Director), Dewey Beach Popfest bring the best Pop/Rock, Power Pop, Britpop, and Pop/Indie bands from the region to Dewey Beach, DE, which sits on a narrow peninsula between the Atlantic Ocean and Rehoboth Bay. The result is a casual, laid-back vibe that is just like a beach vacation. 24 bands perform on four stages, inside and outside, at the Rusty Rudder bar/restaurant over two nights. Festival goers can arrive early and dine inside the Rusty Rudder and enjoy a great atmosphere, an amazing buffet and the best seafood in Dewey Beach. They can then move from the dining room, over to the large, inside bar where two stages are located or head outside on the huge wood deck that overlooks the bay, to the other two stages. Either way, patrons are in for a great night of live music. Bands must formally submit to perform at this event. Submission information is listed on the festival website. This is a FREE event. 21+
