We MUST find a calm and quiet foster home for Sherry so she can - TopicsExpress

We MUST find a calm and quiet foster home for Sherry so she can undergo treatment for heart worms. She cannot be treated until we find her the right foster home environment. Sherry is approximately 1 yr. old and she is an 8 lb. terrier mix. Sherry loves to play with other dogs (but she hates big dogs) and is very calm. She doesnt even bark except when trying to get other pups to play. Sherry-loves to play but is very nervous around large dogs. She will warm up but not at first. When she sits, she squats and never sits on her hind side. She loves to play tug of war with a rope and play with other dogs. She loves to snuggle and give kisses. At adoption events, she is the first pup to run up and try to give kisses and loving from people. She loves to walk on leash as well. She is house trained but at first she will need someone with patience until she feels comfortable. Sherry came from a high kill shelter in Vermillion Parish. She was there only 4 days and would have been put to sleep on day 5 as they dont do public adoptions there. Sherry came to us with cherry eyes in both eyes, but they have been repaired. All her shots and flea prevention are current. She is microchipped and spayed. She has heart worms and she is being prepared for heartworm treatment by taking minocycline and heart worm prevention. Her adoption fee is $150. Sherry is located in New Orleans, but we adopt to anywhere in the US. If you are interested in Sherry, please email animalhelperneworleans@gmail.
