The staff of The Curriculum Center for Family and Consumer Sciences is working in conjunction with professors in the Family and Consumer Sciences Education department at Texas Tech University to develop a teaching methods e-textbook for pre-service individuals. We would like input from teachers concerning the following areas related to teaching. • Discipline and Classroom Management (Examples - classroom organization; discipline plans; promoting student responsibility) • Core Teaching Skills (Examples - establishing set; questioning; wait time; achieving closure) • Handling Special Situations (Examples - cheating; confrontations; bullying) If you will be attending FCSTAT Summer Conference July 29 - August 2, stop by booth #300 to fill out a form and share your knowledge and expertise.
