We all Start from somewhere Just another day in my neighbor, after my earlier posts in saying, you have to start from somewhere, I just now want to share some good news...I was hired to do a cover and editorial for a great magazine with some amazing people...the deposits has been followed through, and date and time confirmed. Yes, I will express it, It feels good!and it not a boast (who am kiddin, yes it is!) however, It was worth the beginning , that some of my friends didnt believe me, didnt support me, who even laugh at me for trying to be a photographer, they told me it will never work, that I wasnt any good, (The beginning I was terrible) and It wouldnt amount to anywhere, yes my dear loving friends had said this to me.and still might feel the same. (so what) In this journey, I have been talked about, some good, and some bad, I find it that people will tell you all the good thing to you in your face and bad things are said behind your back...any usually without facts. I know in my efforts to developing my skills, I had to utilized others...and by that, had assist them as well. In the beginning I had to do a lot of free work, and I didnt have a 9-5 job, people would say the would like to work with me but was not willing to pay the full cost or anything, However I kept working, choosing who and what I want to shoot or who I wanted to work with, trusting me, and taking the advise suggestion from other great photographer who encourage me, support me, who gave me some great tips, whos work I always admired and and drawn inspiration from, and those individual at that time were: Steven Williams, Dallas J. Logan, Maya Guez, Seth London, Don Harris, Marcus Turner and my good friend George R. Horn There are so many others who have been greatly supportive..and throughout the years I have established relationships with other who truly down to earth, grounded and real We all start from somewhere, from amateur to pro....But what these individuals had taught me were believe in you and trust your work, know your worth, it only matter when your client is happy, so forget the critics, people will always have something good or bad to say about you...even fictional... Remembering this for me: Your actions will demonstrate your words, Never let no one tell you no to your dreams Know your worth Your spotlight can easily shine on someone else The next one is walking through the door You are irreplaceable Time waits for no one and finally Be Amazing, because you are
