We all complain that our prayers (duas) are not answered, heres a solution given in a hadees: Hazrat Saad ibne Abi Waqas (RaziAllaho unho) requested the Holy Prophet (SallAllahu alayhi wasallam) to pray from him so that he may become those whose prayers are accepted. The Holy Prophet (SallAllahu alayhi wasallam) said: O Saad, make what you eat permissiable and pure, and you shall become one whose prayers are responded to. And by Him in whose hands rests the life of Muhammad, when the servant of Allah slips a morsel of what is haram into his stomach, no deed of his is accepted for the next forty days. And a person whose flesh is made of unlawful aquisitions, for that flesh the fire of Hell is the only recipient. Hazrat Abu Hurairah (RaziAllaho unho) reported that (the Messenger of Allah SallAllahu alayhi wasallam) mentioned (the case of) the man who, having journeyed far, is dishevelled and dusty and who stretches out his hands to the sky (saying): O Lord! O Lord! (while) his food was unlawful, his drink was unlawful, his clothing was unlawful, and he is nourished with unlawful things, so how can he be answered?”
